Making

I like to think I’m more of a maker than a designer sometimes. Makers make all things, I can MAKE designs, I can also MAKE bread, beanies, weavings, blankets and cakes too!

Something about knitting is so therapeutic to me, it could also cause me severe arthritis in my old age, but only time will tell!
I’ve been creating with wool for years, my Alphabet design below began in university but I refined the concept to sell online as prints.
I spent a few years knitting and selling my TAKK beanies at markets such as Finders Keepers creating my own identity in the process.

Now I tend to just knit for fun and friends. My RAD beanie was an idea my friend and I came up with because we love typography and thought how can we make that in a knitted from. In more recent time I’ve been teaching myself how to weave, a new and exciting form of expression. Nothing brings me more joy then learning new techniques and skills with wool. Onto making when its not textiles… making FOOD! I do love baking and bread and carbs…
